Person-centred counselling for Ruislip

Person-centred counselling rests on a simple trust: that you, not me, are the expert on your own life. Rather than diagnosing you or handing over a fixed programme, I offer a warm, confidential hour where you can think aloud, feel whatever is there, and be met with genuine acceptance. For a lot of people in Ruislip, that hour becomes the steadiest point of the week, somewhere to set things down and understand them in your own time, at your own pace.

What people bring to counselling

  • Anxiety, stress and low mood, feeling wound up, overwhelmed, or somehow not yourself.
  • Relationship and couple difficulties, as a Couple Counselling Practitioner I work with partners together as well as with individuals.
  • Grief and bereavement, a loss that’s raw and recent, or one that has quietly resurfaced years on.
  • Work, change and feeling stuck, burnout, a hard transition, or a decision you can’t seem to settle.

Getting to sessions from Ruislip

When you’re committing to weekly sessions, an easy journey makes all the difference, and Ruislip is well connected to the practice. Ruislip and Ruislip Manor sit on the Metropolitan & Piccadilly lines, while Ruislip Gardens and South Ruislip are on the Central line, and the A4180 and nearby A40 link straight through to Uxbridge. By road it’s usually around ten to twenty minutes from Ruislip Common, Eastcote or the High Street. If a green hour helps you decompress first, the practice is an easy hop from Ruislip Lido and the woodland walks of Ruislip Woods National Nature Reserve.

Sessions, fees and your free first call

Individual sessions last 50 minutes (£70) and couples sessions 60 minutes (£95), held weekly or fortnightly to begin with, for as long, or as short, a time as feels right for you. Nothing has to be decided on the spot: we begin with a free, no-obligation 20-minute telephone consultation, so you can ask questions and get a feel for how I work before booking your first session.

Whatever you’re facing, there’s a way in

You’re welcome to explore the areas I work with most often: relationship and couples counselling, anxiety, stress and self-esteem, grief and bereavement, and work and career wellbeing. I also offer specialist, trauma-informed support for survivors of domestic abuse. If you’re on the edge of Ruislip, I see people from neighbouring Eastcote and Ickenham too.
