When work has worn you down to nothing, this is a calm, unhurried space to catch your breath, understand what's happening, and slowly find your footing again.

Work Stress Counselling Uxbridge, Burnout Counselling, Counselling for Work Stress, in person, online or by telephone

Work stress and burnout counselling in Uxbridge gives you a confidential, judgement-free space to understand what work is doing to you, and to start looking after yourself again. As a person-centred counsellor (MBACP) with over fifteen years' experience, I work with people across Uxbridge, Hillingdon and West London, and online across the UK, including those based at or near Stockley Park (UB11).

Burnout rarely arrives all at once. It builds quietly through long hours, impossible workloads and a sense that you have to keep going no matter what, until the things you used to manage easily start to feel like too much. You don't need to wait until you're completely depleted to come; wanting to feel like yourself again is reason enough.

When work stress & burnout counselling can help

People come for all sorts of work-related reasons, and you don't need to be at breaking point to reach out. If work is taking more from you than it's giving back, that's worth talking about.

Running on empty

Bone-deep exhaustion that a weekend or even a holiday never quite touches, you wake already tired and ration what little energy you have just to get through the day.

A workload that never lets up

Back-to-back meetings, an inbox that refills the moment you clear it, and pings that follow you home, the pressure simply will not switch off.

The Sunday-night dread

A tightening knot of anxiety as the weekend ends, a mind that races at 3am, and the sense you can never truly clock off from the job in your head.

A workplace that wears you down

A demanding or critical manager, friction in the team, or going unseen and undervalued however hard you push, the relationships at work taking as big a toll as the work itself.

Losing your spark for it

Creeping cynicism, running on autopilot, and a flat feeling that nothing you do really matters, work you once cared about now leaving you numb.

Wanting to rebuild, gently

Sensing something has to change before you hit the wall, and wanting a calm space to set boundaries, recover your energy, and find a healthier way to work.

How person-centred counselling for burnout works

Person-centred counselling means I won't diagnose you or hand you a programme to follow. My role is to offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you set the pace and lead the way, somewhere you can put down the pressure to perform and simply think out loud about what's really going on.

Burnout can leave you feeling numb or strangely far from yourself, and words alone don't always reach it. Where it helps, I gently bring in creative and reflective work. Go Well Services is a space where counselling and creativity meet, so you can make sense of things in whatever way feels natural to you. Everything we talk about stays confidential.

Can we fit sessions around a working day?
Yes. I know fitting counselling around a job can be the hard part, so I aim to be flexible, earlier appointments or online sessions can often work well if your day is full. We'll find something that fits when we speak.
How long will I need to come for?
There's no fixed number. Some people come for a focused handful of sessions to get back on their feet; others stay longer to understand what led to burnout. Sessions are usually weekly and last 50 minutes, and we review together regularly so you stay in control of the pace.
How much does it cost?
Counselling is £70 for a 50-minute session, and you're welcome to a free, no-obligation 20-minute telephone session to start with. Five-session packages that save £25 are also available; see fees & sessions for full details.
Are you registered and insured?
Yes, I'm a registered member of the BACP and work to the BACP Ethical Framework, and I'm also a member of the BAATN. You're in safe, accountable hands.
Will my employer find out I'm having counselling?
No. What we discuss is confidential and entirely separate from your workplace. Nothing comes back to your employer. This is your space, and what you bring to it stays between us.
How do I get to your counselling for work stress and burnout room in Uxbridge?
My room is in Uxbridge (UB8), close to the town centre and Uxbridge Underground (Metropolitan & Piccadilly lines), with parking nearby. If travelling in is tricky, I am available online across the UK by secure video or telephone.
