Work-Life Balance Counselling in Uxbridge

If work has quietly taken over everything else, this is a calm space to step back, reset your boundaries, and find a pace that lets you live as well as work.

Work-Life Balance Counselling Uxbridge, Burnout Counselling, Counselling for Balance, in person, online or by telephone

Work-life balance counselling in Uxbridge gives you a calm, confidential space to step back from the rush and work out what a more sustainable life could look like. As a person-centred counsellor (MBACP) with over fifteen years' experience, I work with people across Uxbridge, Hillingdon and West London, and online across the UK, including those based at or near Stockley Park (UB11).

When work spills into evenings, weekends and the back of your mind, the things that restore you, rest, relationships, the bits of life that are simply yours, can slowly get squeezed out. It often happens so gradually you barely notice until you feel stretched thin. Wanting your life to feel more like your own again is reason enough to come.

When work-life balance counselling can help

There's no single right balance, and you don't have to be in crisis to want things to feel different. If the scales have tipped too far towards work, counselling gives you space to understand why the pattern took hold, and to work out, gently and in your own time, what you'd like to change.

Work has taken over

Long hours that bleed into evenings, weekends swallowed by the laptop, and a creeping sense that there's nothing left of the day that actually belongs to you.

You can't switch off

Checking emails in bed, replaying the day's problems when you're trying to sleep, and finding it hard to be fully present with the people in the room with you.

Boundaries that won't hold

Saying yes when you mean no and quietly taking on more than is fair. Protecting your own time feels selfish, so you rarely do it, and resentment builds underneath.

Pulled both ways

Feeling you're falling short whoever you're with, not enough at work, not enough at home, and carrying that low hum of guilt with you wherever you happen to be.

The people who matter get the leftovers

Less time, less patience and a shorter fuse for the partner, children or friends who end up with the most tired, depleted version of you at the end of the day.

Something has to change

A quiet certainty that things can't carry on like this, paired with not quite knowing what a healthier, more sustainable balance would even look like for you.

How person-centred counselling for balance works

Person-centred counselling means I won't tell you how you should be living or hand you a one-size-fits-all formula. My role is to offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you lead and set the pace, somewhere you can think honestly about what matters to you and what's been getting in the way.

Untangling work from the rest of life can be surprisingly hard to put into words. Where it helps, I gently bring in creative and reflective work. Go Well Services is a space where counselling and creativity meet, so you can explore what a fuller, steadier life might look like for you. Everything we talk about stays confidential.

Frequently asked questions

Where do you offer work-life balance counselling?
In person in Uxbridge (UB8/UB10), which is handy for Stockley Park (UB11) and easily reached from Hillingdon, Hayes, West Drayton and Cowley. Online appointments are also available across the UK via secure video or telephone, if that's easier to fit in.
Can we fit sessions around a working day?
Yes. I know carving out time is often part of the problem, so I aim to be flexible, earlier appointments or online sessions can work well when your day is packed. We'll find a time that genuinely fits when we speak.
How long will I need to come for?
There's no fixed number. Some people come for a short, focused piece of work; others stay longer to understand deeper patterns. Sessions are usually weekly and last 50 minutes, and we review together regularly so you stay in control of the pace.
How much does it cost?
Counselling is £70 for a 50-minute session, and you're welcome to a free, no-obligation 20-minute telephone session to start with. Five-session packages that save £25 are also available; see fees & sessions for full details.
Are you registered and insured?
Yes, I'm a registered member of the BACP and work to the BACP Ethical Framework, and I'm also a member of the BAATN. You're in safe, accountable hands.
Will my employer know I'm having counselling?
No. What we discuss is confidential and entirely separate from your workplace. Nothing finds its way back to your employer. This is your space, and what you bring stays between us.
How do I get to your work-life balance counselling room in Uxbridge?
My room is in Uxbridge (UB8), close to the town centre and Uxbridge Underground (Metropolitan & Piccadilly lines), with parking nearby. If travelling in is tricky, I am available online across the UK by secure video or telephone.
Do you see clients face to face outside Uxbridge?

No, all face-to-face work-life balance counselling takes place from my private room in Uxbridge (UB8). Clients travel to me from across Hillingdon, including Hillingdon, Stockley Park, Cowley, Hayes, Ruislip and Ickenham.

If getting to Uxbridge is difficult, I also offer counselling online or by telephone anywhere in the UK.

Do you offer online work-life balance counselling near Uxbridge?
Yes, alongside in-person sessions in Uxbridge, online work-life balance counselling works well when your days are full, so support fits around work rather than adding to it.
