Career Change Counselling in Uxbridge
When you're standing at a crossroads in your working life, this is a calm, unhurried space to think it through honestly and listen to what you really want.
Career Change Counselling Uxbridge, Career Counselling, Counselling for Work Decisions, in person, online or by telephone
Career change counselling in Uxbridge gives you a calm, confidential space to think clearly when your working life feels uncertain, and to listen to what you actually want next. As a person-centred counsellor (MBACP) with over fifteen years' experience, I work with people across Uxbridge, Hillingdon and West London, and online across the UK, including those based at or near Stockley Park (UB11).
A crossroads can show up in many ways: a quiet restlessness, a job that no longer fits, a redundancy you didn't choose, or the nagging sense that you're capable of more. It can be unsettling and lonely to sit with, especially when others expect you to have it all worked out. You don't need to arrive with the answers, wanting space to think is reason enough.

When career change counselling can help
This isn't careers advice or a personality test, it's a space to understand yourself. People arrive at all sorts of stages, and you don't need a clear plan to begin.
At a crossroads with no map
You sense you want something different, but you've no idea which way to turn or where you'd even begin. We make room to sit with the not-knowing rather than rush a decision.
A job that no longer fits
You're going through the motions in work that's stopped feeling meaningful, capable enough, but quietly flat, clock-watching and wondering 'is this really it?'
The fear of leaping
Part of you longs to change and part of you is frozen by the what-ifs, the money, the risk, the worry you'll get it wrong. We explore what's really holding you back, with no pressure to jump.
Feeling like a fraud
However accomplished you are, a voice insists you'll be found out, so you stay small and turn down the very moves that might suit you. We look gently at where that voice came from.
An ending you didn't choose
Redundancy, a restructure or a role taken away can shake far more than your income, your identity and sense of footing go with it. This is space to steady yourself and work out what comes next.
Hearing your own voice
Beneath everyone else's expectations, whether from family, a partner, or what you 'should' do, it can be hard to hear what you actually want. Counselling gives you the quiet to listen for it.
How person-centred counselling for career change works
Person-centred counselling means I won't tell you what to do or push you towards a decision. My role is to offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you lead and set the pace, somewhere you can think out loud, weigh things honestly, and reconnect with what genuinely matters to you, free from the pressure to have it figured out.
Big decisions can be tangled up with hopes, fears and old stories about ourselves that are hard to put into words. Where it helps, I gently bring in creative and reflective work. Go Well Services is a space where counselling and creativity meet, so you can explore your sense of direction in whatever way feels right. Everything we talk about stays confidential.
