Stress & Burnout Counselling in Uxbridge

A space to put down what you've been carrying, recover from running on empty, and rediscover a pace of life that actually leaves room for you.

Stress Counselling Uxbridge, Burnout Therapy, Counselling for Stress, in person, online or by telephone

Stress and burnout counselling in Uxbridge offers a steadying place to stop, breathe and recover when you've been running on empty for too long. As a person-centred counsellor (MBACP) with over a decade of experience, I support people across Uxbridge, Hillingdon and West London, and online across the UK.

Burnout rarely arrives all at once. It builds quietly while you keep pushing, until the exhaustion, irritability and flatness become impossible to ignore. If you're depleted, resentful of demands you used to meet easily, or simply can't switch off, counselling gives you permission to slow down and tend to yourself. You don't have to wait until you've collapsed to deserve support.

When stress & burnout counselling can help

Burnout tends to creep up on the most capable, conscientious people, the ones who keep going long after they're depleted. You don't need to justify how tired you are or wait until you've hit a wall. If any of this feels familiar, you're welcome here.

Running on empty

A bone-deep exhaustion that a weekend or a good night's sleep never quite touches, you wake already tired and drag yourself through the day on willpower alone.

Permanently switched on

Living with a constant sense of pressure and no off button, too much to do, never enough hours, and the nagging fear that if you stop for a moment, everything will fall apart.

Irritable and overwhelmed

Snapping at small things, close to tears or quietly seething, with so little left in the tank that even ordinary demands start to feel like one ask too many.

Carrying it in your body

Tension headaches, a clenched jaw, a knotted stomach or one bug after another, stress you've shouldered for so long that it has started to show up physically.

Detached and flat

Going through the motions feeling numb, cynical or strangely far away from work and people you used to care about, a flatness that's easy to mistake for simply not caring any more.

Last on your own list

Putting everyone else's needs first for so long that your own rest, health and relationships have quietly slipped down the list, until there's barely any of you left for you.

How person-centred stress & burnout counselling works

Person-centred counselling means I won't hand you a productivity plan or tell you to simply do less. Instead, I offer a calm, accepting space where you can finally stop performing, be honest about how depleted you feel, and be met without judgement. So often, burnout eases when we feel allowed to admit we're not okay.

The pace is entirely yours. We make sense of what's driven you to this point, the pressures, the patterns, the parts of you that struggle to rest, and what a kinder, more sustainable way forward might look like. Where words feel like too much, I gently weave in creative and reflective work, because Go Well Services is a space where counselling and creativity meet.
