Anxiety, Stress & Self

Life Transitions Counselling in Uxbridge

A steadying space to make sense of change and uncertainty, honour what you're leaving behind, and find your footing as a new chapter begins.

Life Transitions Counselling Uxbridge, Counselling for Change, Adjusting to Change, in person, online or by telephone

Life transitions counselling in Uxbridge offers a calm, supportive space when change leaves you feeling unsteady, lost or in between. As a person-centred counsellor (MBACP) with more than fifteen years' experience, I walk alongside people across Uxbridge, Hillingdon and West London, and online across the UK.

Even welcome changes can unsettle us, a new job, a move, becoming a parent, an empty nest, a relationship ending, retirement, or simply a quiet sense that this chapter no longer fits. Transitions ask us to let go of the familiar before the new has fully arrived, and that in-between place can feel disorienting. You don't have to have it figured out; together we'll make space to find your way through.

When life transitions counselling can help

Change comes in many forms, expected and unexpected, chosen and unchosen. You don't need a crisis to want support finding your feet again.

A new chapter arriving

A new job, a house move, becoming a parent, an empty nest or retirement, even a change you welcomed can leave your days feeling unfamiliar and your footing unsure.

Standing at a crossroads

You're at a fork in the road and genuinely don't know which way to turn. You weigh the options, second-guess yourself, and long for some clarity about what you actually want.

Not sure who you are now

A role, relationship or routine that defined you has shifted or ended, and without it you can feel lost and confused, as though a sense of who you are has gone with it.

Caught in the in-between

The old life is over but the new one hasn't quite arrived. Living in that gap can feel disorienting and restless, with anxiety about an unknown you can't yet picture.

Grieving what you're leaving behind

Even a change you chose can carry real loss. You find yourself quietly mourning a familiar chapter, place or version of life that is now ending.

A restless sense something must change

A quiet, persistent feeling that this chapter no longer fits, knowing something needs to shift, without yet knowing what it is or where to begin.

How person-centred life transitions counselling works

Person-centred counselling means I won't tell you which path to take or hurry you towards a decision. I offer a calm, accepting space where you can think aloud, honour what you're leaving behind, and listen for what feels true for you. Clarity rarely arrives by being pushed. It tends to surface when we feel safe enough to slow down and reflect.

The work is entirely led by you. We hold space for the uncertainty, the grief and the possibility that change can bring, and gently explore who you're becoming. Where words feel limiting, I bring in creative and reflective ways of working, because Go Well Services is a space where counselling and creativity meet.
