Anxiety Counselling Uxbridge, Anxiety Therapy, Counselling for Worry, in person, online or by telephone

Anxiety counselling in Uxbridge gives you a gentle, judgement-free space to understand the worry, racing thoughts and physical tension that anxiety can bring. As a person-centred counsellor (MBACP) with more than fifteen years' experience, I work with people across Uxbridge, Hillingdon and West London, and online across the UK.

Anxiety can feel relentless: the tight chest, the what-ifs that won't switch off, the sense of bracing for something you can't quite name. You don't have to push through it alone, and you don't have to arrive with it all worked out. Together we'll make room to understand what your anxiety is protecting you from, and to find a steadier, kinder way of being with yourself.

When anxiety counselling can help

Anxiety shows up differently for everyone, and you don't need a diagnosis or a crisis point to reach out. If any of these feel familiar, we can work together so they loosen their grip and you can breathe a little easier.

Constant worry

Your mind rarely switches off, racing ahead to everything that could go wrong, replaying conversations long after they've ended, and bracing for the worst even when things are fine.

Panic and overwhelm

A pounding heart, a tight chest or a sudden wave of fear that seems to come from nowhere, and then the quiet dread of when it might strike again.

Sleep and rest disrupted

Lying awake with a head that won't quieten, or waking already wound up and braced for the day before it has even begun.

Social anxiety

Dreading gatherings, over-rehearsing what to say and picking apart afterwards how you came across, sometimes avoiding the situation altogether to spare yourself the worry.

Overthinking and indecision

Getting caught in loops over even small choices, second-guessing yourself again and again, and struggling to trust that your own judgement is enough.

Feeling on high alert

A background hum of unease that never quite lifts, on edge, scanning for what might go wrong, however much you try to reason yourself out of it.

How person-centred anxiety counselling works

Person-centred counselling means I won't rush you, diagnose you or tell you what your anxiety means. My role is to offer a warm, accepting space where you can slow down, notice what's really going on, and feel genuinely understood, often for the first time. Anxiety eases when we stop fighting it and start listening to it.

The work is led by you, always at a pace that feels manageable. Some people simply need to talk and be heard; others find words alone aren't enough. Where that's true, I gently bring in creative and reflective ways of working, because Go Well Services is a space where counselling and creativity meet.
